Hoping - or rather wishing - that Narcissa was lying, Bellatrix trailed back through the Slytherin common room to the bedroom she shared with a few other seventh year girls, face darkened with annoyance. Why the hell was her mother sending Howlers now? She didn't think she'd actually done anything bad since last year. But there it was, the red envelope smoking menacingly on her bed...apparently Mrs Black thought differently.A terrible shrieking filled the room as the envelope exploded. Bellatrix screwed her eyes shut and pointlessly covered her ears with her hands. What seemed like hours later, the noise subsided and the girl slowly pried her hands from the sides of her head, shaking. It so happened that she'd forgotten to write home since returning to Hogwarts, even though Narcissa had been sending owls every few days. Bellatrix swallowed back tears. She wouldn't admit it to anyone but she found her mother terrifying at times. Silently vowing to write regularly, Bellatrix stumbled through the common room in her hurry to get away from the glowing embers of the Howler, which she feared everyone in there had heard."Trust Narcissa to be little miss perfect all the time..."
"Talking about me are you, Bella?" Cissy glared at her sister. "What? Didn't believe me? Poor little sister doesn't listen to her older sister? And since when am I LITTLE?"Narcissa hated when her sister did this. She waited until the last minute to be responsible, and then screwed up.
